high 5s!

Andrew went back to school today - pre-kindergarten this year, or as his class is called, High Fives!  He turned five in the summer so to start into kindergarten this year, he would've been one of the youngest and with the Nutter/DeRosa genes probably one of the smallest.  We felt like it would be better to give him another year of maturing and learning (and coming from the middle school teaching perspective, boys can aaaalways use a little extra time to mature).  ;)  He's still in the same building where he went for pre-school, just across the hall (easy transition), but now he'll be there everyday for double the time (bigger transition).  I'll agree with the moms on this one and say, I think it'll be hardest on me!  Day one and I missed the little guy for sure, especially after a summer of adventures together and no school.  So you'll excuse me if I cut out on the writing and return to the snuggling - school is out for today!

Ready to go, early morning this year - not exactly a Nutter favorite, but we'll adjust.

We made his teacher some "apples"  ...well, apple cupcakes because  ...that's what we do.

Here we go again.  Captain America backpack this year because #1 he's one of our fav super heroes and #2 there's a big "A" on it!

School day's over!  I think they missed each other.  Everywhere we went today, Ben kept looking around and saying, "Drew?"

I just like looking at my boys  ;)
