Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We did!--We had daddy home and my brother and sis-in-law were in town for a little wedding reception in honor of them. Fun, fun!!
On a totally random note--heard a crazy story a bit ago. Some friends of the family have a son who's about 14 (not to the crazy part yet). He was riding his bike to the pool the other day when he got stopped by a cop. She (yes, of course a woman cop) gave him a WRITTEN vehicle warning because he was going too fast down the hill and didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign. She clocked him (yes, she did!) going 20 mph, though the speed limit for cars is 25 mph (it's like a slow-paced, empty neighborhood street). I'm still not sure how you can give a 14 yr old a written warning for a bicycle, but she did.
So next time you think about taking your kid for a walk in Centerville, make sure to hit the brakes on the stroller at ALL stop signs; you too could be a victim of the she-cop with too much time on her hands.
