I mowed the lawn for the first time ever today. I know, I'm a spoiled brat; my parents kept us kids very lazy :) and it's always been Bran's job to clean the outside, while I take care of cleaning the inside. But I did it, after figuring out how to start the thing, and it was probably the worst job ever. I'm sure the neighbors have switched from complaining about how bad the yard looked to making fun of me. In the meantime, I managed to lock myself out of the house--inside the garage actually. My major claustrophobia kicked in as I inched my way between boxes to the get out the front and then headed to my sweet neighbors to use her phone. I helped her out a few weeks ago in an emergency, so I think she was ready to set me up in the guest bedroom and let me camp out there for a while. I actually just borrowed the phone and called my realtor, who of course didn't answer. I then called her company, and after quizzing me a bit to make sure it was really me (thank you!), they gave me the code to the lock box and I was back in the house! So for once, it was nice having a for sale sign in our yard-- though if it were already sold, I wouldn't have had to mow or get locked out in the first place-- but trying to be positive!
We are FOR SURE (hopefully) packing up this Monday and leaving for New Castle on Tuesday morning! That works out well because Drew and I have to come back Thursday to leave for SC with my family, so I will have a little time to unpack first. A month delayed but we're getting there!
