getting all we can out of the 5 days of fall

Last week, Drew and I headed to Ohio for the weekend for a list full of fun activities!  It included breakfast with 2 girl friends (and no kids!), visiting a good friend and her new baby boy (Brady), an overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge (indoor waterpark) for my nephew's birthday, our annual trip to Kings Island's Howl-O-Fest for kids, dinner with the in-laws, going to my home church, a pumpkin patch and apple orchard with friends  ... and not much sleep.  :)  It was such a great time!!
I LOVE fall as it is, and lots of memories like these make it even better.  There is never enough time to do all the catching up that I'd like to do, but it is nice to still feel connected to such important people in my life.  As a friend and I were standing in the parking lot after breakfast Friday morning in the cold, post-rain weather, inching our way to our cars, an old man told us, "You two talk a lot!"  He said something about coming in and out and we were still in the same spot.  Our answer, "You have no idea!"  Really, he has NO idea.  :)  There is a lot to be said when you are catching up on months at a time!
We headed back home Monday morning in the dark, anxious to see daddy again.  It's always fun to go back to Ohio, but always fun to go back to him as well!  :)  Here are a few pics from Kings Island, the only place I seemed to get good ones....

They added a petting zoo this year.  He's not sure about the prickly pig.
