We love our Reds.. but not that much.

Last Friday we took Benjamin to his first baseball game.  The Pittsburgh Pirates were playing the Cincinnati Reds, and because we seem to always be cheering for the wrong team, we loaded up on our red attire and headed to Pitt for the game.  It had rained earlier that day and looked like it might again, but since we pre-ordered our tickets we decided to at least try.  This picture looks like we had a fun night, huh?  Well, this picture was taken when we got to our seats ...and 5 minutes later we left them because it started raining.  (frowny face!).  We were there with some friends, and we all decided to wait it out under the covered area to see if  they'd go ahead with the game (which they did after delaying for about an hour).  We ended up leaving at the third inning-- after getting kicked out of a section of about 50 vacant and covered seats, after having to nurse standing up in the women's bathroom, and after getting bumped about 300 times as the crowds passed by the only spot left to stand.  We did at least get lots of ballpark goodies and really, by the third inning my attention span for the actual game is maxed out anyways.  On our way out, one of the workers told Ashley and I that he saw us carrying Benjamin in before the game and wondered how long he'd last.  Ha, Benjamin was the one most content, just hanging out in my sling.  It was the rest of us who were too wimpy to make it through.  Maybe we'll return for another game between the Pirates and Reds this year and Ben can even find out what the 7th inning stretch is all about. - but we will not be buying our tickets ahead of time, just in case!

Oh, and did I mention we were offered FREE tickets with their own boxed area and parking pass that day, but we had already pre-bought our tickets so we passed them up??  (yet again, another frowny face)
