christmas 2012

I never get good photos of opening presents and such at Christmas.  #1, there's so much going on and it happens so quickly and #2, I want to enjoy it all and feel a part of what's going on rather than just the photographer.  Here are a few photos to officially say, yes, we had Christmas, but we'll just have to go mostly on memory for this.

Time to wake up, sweet pea!  We've got a special day ahead!

 starting with stockings!

Sometimes big brother needs to intervene.  :)  My favorite response was when Andrew opened one of his first presents and he said, "Whoa!  I love it!!!"  We asked him what it was and he said, "I have no idea, but it's awesome!"

(actual Christmas day with DeRosa family) Literally, 12 of us opening stockings at the same time- my parents are crazy!

sweet niece, Aimee with her daddy

Lil was really excited about all the cute stuff Grammy and auntie Kristin bought her  :)

Oh my- two little cousins who got ipods from their grammy and papa.  I'm not sure another thing registered all day with them.  Their reactions were both funny - Isaac opened his and said "it's daddy phone!"  Benny was super excited when he opened his up, and as he opened up the next several presents, he'd say, "another ipod!"  No buddy, just one of those. They sat there in their matching Angry Birds shirts with Angry Bird blankets nearby, no doubt playing what else but Angry Birds.

Big boys  and legos.

It just gets harder and harder.

We had a fun week in Dayton- the boys went sledding about 42 times, we went and walked through a pretty Christmas light display in town, caught up with friends and family, and had a great New Year's Eve/day at my sis and bro-in-law's with friends.

And as we got in the van to head home with hearts full of joy, we realized the van was equally full of gifts.  This prompted Bran and I to look at each other and ask the annual question of, "Where on earth are we going to put all this stuff??!"
